Thanks for the reply! I should've been slightly more specific in my question though. What is the name of a frame that I should hunt down for such a project? I've seen the Schwinn Hornet, Tornado, some Typhoons ect.. just wondering if anyone knows which model produces the best size and lines.

Just finished building up my King Size American and I'm ready to move on to the next project-- a board track build. After riding my King Size frame for a while now, I don't think I'll want to downsize. I'm 5.9' and find the KS to be a pretty comfortable fit. I'm wondering a couple things...

Hey everyone, just finished my first ever build. Here's the final product. I don't know if I'll keep the seat, as much as I like riding this it's a bit uncomfortable.

Re: Built for a King.. Size It's with a small amount of embarassment that I'm able to answer your question twice: The forks aren't painted yet but will be; I have to weld some cracks where the bottom of the head tube meets the crown.

Hey everyone, I'm parting out an Schwinn/Excelsior built Panther and one of the rods on the front springer is cracked. It should probably be welded to prevent future failure. I'm wondering; should I cancel my eBay auction, mig/wire feed weld the crack and put it back up? Or is there a higher...

Right on, I think I'm going to attempt welding my king size steer tube to the springer and use it on my American and part the rest.

While waiting for the gurus, I found a clue!.. Well actually I found a dead match. It's a Panther and I'm almost positive its the exact same one as pictured. The only thing that I can tell right now that doesn't match up is that "brace" between the frame posts.

Thanks for assembling. Yesterday I picked up a bike that I don't know anything about and cant find any information on. It's a Schwinn Excelsior, the head tube emblem reads "Schwinn Excelsior Built". I'm not sure what this bike is supposed to have or not supposed to have, for that matter...
