I can't understand how people are so ignorant about bikes that they don't know that is backwards. Have they only ever seen the one bicycle? Wierd.

Oh, I totally understand that.
A little bit ago, I fixed up and sold an older GT Outpost Mtn Bike. I did have to paint it, cuz the paint was a bit rough. so I masked all of the decals and gave it a new coat of red. repacked all bearings, adjust brakes..blah blah. It looked sharp, rode nice.
The girl that bought it came over and rode it around the block..she loved it...but, she asked me " What are these 'shifty thingies' on the handlebars for.?"
Uh..I just told her nevermind, just keep them in the middle. lol
I decided there was probably no use in telling her how I took apart the Bottom bracket, cleaned it...regreased it...adjusted the derailleurs etc. why?
When I was helping her load it in her car I asked,
"So, what did you really like about this bike?"
"Well, it's red and shiny" she said
And so it goes.........

Also, it's that EBAY syndrome kickin ' in. Might be a diff. model, more valuable year, condition...but hey, lets find the highest $$ on EeBay and go with that.
That's a no sale bike, cuz ratters & wrenchers know what they're worth,
