Avatar is one of my highly modified model steam engines. My user name is also a steam engine reference. It was typical on railroads to refer to locomotives in the fleet by their number followed by "spot". 2 spot, 3 spot, 4 spot, etc. In my collection of live steam powered engines my "2 spot" is a model of a 16 ton Shay type locomotive with 2 cylinders and eight driving wheels.

I know, I'm a train nerd.

Rail Rider, glad your kid likes them. My locomotives really are the ultimate toy in my opinion. There is nothing like the feeling of cracking open the throttle and blasting the whistle on your very own steam powered locomotive. Steam, flames, steel-- it's the best! 8)

I tried using that pic as an avatar on another site I was on for a while. I got told that I couldn't use it because it could be interpeted as racist. I told them that I'm definately not that way, as I have friends of many races and religions.I really just thought it was a funny picture. It seemed I was going to lose that argument anyway, so I gave in.

my avatar is my furure bicycle shop/company. Pennsylvania Bicycle Company....or PABCO as me and my friends like to call it. Made this logo myself on photoshop! Obviously the outline is Penslvania. The red dot represents where I'm locted, and I used a picture of one of those big-wheel turn of the century to make a PA; the states initials
