This is the Color-Flow's sister bike, gonna turn it into a nice rider.

And like magic its got a new paint job, I really dig the bare metal/paint combo. And the 50s sea foam green is a better match for the era of the bike.

Going to try to use the same chain ring as in the Rat Rod bikes sticker, good Synergy for the build.

I could never paint that beautiful original fork :D, copy as in bare steel/paint combo. I dig it, do it man.

T. Scribs, at the top of your game again! That bare paint with the seafoam green is it!

Mock up. Looks really good with that Schwinn skip tooth sprocket, wheels are drop centers with New Departure hubs.

If anyone has a piece of skip tooth chain they would like to sell let me know I only need a piece not a whole chain, mine is just a tad too short.

Let me check later today. Most of my skip tooth chain is pretty rusty, but I might have a chunk laying around.

Cleaning vinegar. No matter how rusty a chain is you let it sit in that stuff for two days and it will be like brand new after.
And thanks for looking for a piece of chain:thumbsup:

I have a question:

This tank was on one of your Higgins bikes in it's before pic...

I ended up with it on a bike I bought. Any idea what it is?

Photos not showing up, if it's the one I think it is. Cream with some green high lights, its the Color-Flow tank that I could not afford when I bought mine.

I'm calling this one done. Truned out great, rides super nice on the Marrow Skip-Tooth hub.

Took some better photos, also fixed the front strut I had a kind of stop gap strut before.
Added a repo light as well.

Alright I'm back at this again. This is one of those builds that I started just so I could flip it, so I didn't really build it up the way I wanted to. Tried to make it look new and appealing to the average Craigslist viewer .
But now I'm tired of looking at it in my garage and not having it the way I would have it. so I went off the rails and did a whole lot more work, to get the original Vision I had for this bike.

So now it's back in pieces, and bare metal and I'm keeping it bare metal :rockout:.
Stay tuned for more

I started reassembling the bike, already coated the bare steel in Lin seed oil.

I reattach a Higgins badge, not original for the model of this bike but still super cool.
I used E6000 which is an industrial grade adhesive the tape is just holding it on till it dries.

Rear fender has the reflector, but the front Tombstone reflector didn't have the actual reflector. so I crammed in a vintage japanese-made spark plug box. Which turned out way cooler than I thought it would :D.

I slapped it together so I could ride it around on my day off, still not done though few things that need to be done. I have a original JC Higgins wheelset and I'm going to play around with. And now that it's bare metal I'm thinking Black Walls would look better than the cream tires.
