my LBS had two of these and now they have one!

Bingo!

Clamps into a vise, the steerer tube gets inserted and locked down.

then, using the pivoting arm with the "T" at the end you check the fore/aft and side to side alighnment of the fork legs.

Doesn't do anything for bent steerer tubes but it's still a nice tool to have.

looks like it would double as a guide for cutting threadless forks too ... if you didnt have to cut the fork too short that is
