Worksman Industrial Waste Build

Local Bike Co-Op holding a Worksman Klunker Ride if a few weeks, I had a partial bike so putting a ride together. I don't know much about Worksman this looks to have been basic model. I will be using single free wheel so need brakes.
Brazed U-Brake bosses donated from a BMX bike, I mock them up to ensure have enough clearance then mark location die-grind and braze in place.

Are you allowed rim brakes for the Klunker run? Most seem to allow coaster brake only...
Is there enough fat tire clearance with the brakes you chose?

Yes anything goes, Good Eye I did place U-Brake bosses too close can only run 1.95 tire, I should have mocked up with tire. This is my second U-Brake Conversion, 3rd attempt should be perfect.
Finished most of bike, brazed on cable bosses going for industrial look left frame raw wanted to retain decals. The quality of the Worksman frame is impressive I need another one!

All Complete, rides smooth and fast just picked up another Boeing shop Worksman for another try
frame & fork Worksman rim set Mallard hubs Wiemann rims, converted front to larger 3/8 axle. steel motorcross bars raw finish, 4 bolt alloy stem, Redline crank with Schwinn Sprint sprocket Tektro u-brake SR p-468 repop Peddles old Torxel saddle off 10 speed not sure what original color was but it faded too match pret

I was also stoked to hear that there was a klunker event only a mere 3 1/2hrs from me . Maybe they'll spread and get into a more reasonable driving distance someday .

I am always looking at Portland CL I see a lot of cool stuff down there. Saw a cool GT pacific flyer listed. This event is more a get together I am not sure what to expect other than to have fun.

Love Worksman frames, I also really like the bare steel and paint combo on there quit unique.
