Twisted is my go to, but it is too harsh for aluminium...

Best thing I've ever found was a brass wheel that fit a 4 1/2" angle grinder, in fact, I think it came with a Ryobi. Of course, never seen another, though Northern or Harbor Freight have some arbor mountable wheels. Brass generally won't scratch chrome. -Adam

They're GREAT for stripping rust/paint and not being too damaging.....as a matter of fact if you've ever had your truck sprayed with a bed liners, chances are they used one of these to prep the inside of the bed.
