Whirlwind head badge

Hi all..

Did Whirlwind head badges appear on prewar Schwinn's?
Has anyone seen one for sale recently?

According to NBJ's Intro to classic bikes book, it is a Schwinn badge, and unlike other Schwinn-built badges that were also made by others, like Packard and American Flyer, Whirlwind seems to only be on the Schwinn list. I haven't seen one fs, but I don't troll ebay like I used to! -Adam
