Hey all,

Trying to help a friend identify this and find out what it's worth. And it is for sale...

I'm assuming it's a schwinn of some sort but he'd like to know model and year if possible. And value. It's got the Art Deco stem, skiptooth sweetheart chainring, dog legs and chain adjusters so prewar? Here are some photos

Think it's Colson with that fork and truss rods. Maybe a 37? Not sure if they used the sweetheart chainring or not. That's all I got. Hope no one was riding it when that happened.

It was picked out of a junkyard. I think a forklift or front end loader killed the rear wheel.

Kirk, thanks for the help identifying this. I'm going to post it in the for sale section.

I did some research, yes Colson used a sweetheart chain ring, and in 1937 started the month year date code in the serial number, so that makes it a March 1937 bike.

Has the same drop outs as my 37 Murray Mercury. Also straight down tube. But mines braised at joints and both top bars curve.
