I’m finally getting around to refurbishing my Grandma’s old bike - it’s a civil war model- very rare! It’s an Iver Schwuffman motorkrate “MusclePlane” model. She rode this in the winters only and took amazing care of it! I think the fenders were added in the future. Enjoy this fine example of an over produced bike that are in everyone’s garage now. 😎

Oh Boy! RRBBO 17 is just around the corner and I can hardly wait to start my build! I found a 1992 Moped and plan on swapping out a the engine with the 114 cid Milwaukee 8 from my 2020 Harley Roadglide! Should be pretty sweet cranking that big ol Harley engine upswing the pedals instead of the electric starter!

How can it be both very rare and overproduced? Was it just like the Edsel, where they were so bad everybody just destroyed them and said good riddance?

I remember those models. I had one called the Wacky Woody, which came with a little guy called the Surfnik, and a skateboard and a stingray bicycle.

Surfnik had no face really. Just nose and long hair.

I am building a super secret agent bike that turns into an attache briefcase.

Well, you're remembering the kit right (AMT's '29 roadster pickup/woody 2in1 kit, which was recently re-released with everything EXCEPT Surfnik) but you're conflating it with their "Wackie Woodie", which was a large scale cartoon kit they released back in '65.
Ask me how I know ...

It could be that I built both of those at the same time. I remember not liking the wacky woody very well because it was too cartoonish.

The only other car kits I remember building were a Plymouth fury III and a Tommy Ivo slingshot.

I wasn’t really into plastic model cars. I built more balsa wood airplanes when I was a kid.
