I dragged this home from a yard sale last week, just 'cause I like the way the frame is made. I suspect is is not very old, and certainly in it's current condition, not very valuable, but... I like it anyway, so now it's hanging from my rafters. Can anyone fill me in on who might have made it, and when, and why there is no headbadge ? Thank You ! And...why does the rear hub, which is a coaster brake, have a grease fittin" ? Thanks for your help !

Murray made bike from the 60's, it looks like a FlightLiner but I'm not %100 sure.

I'll agree, probably a Sears flightliner, Murray made. Sold by Sears back in the early-mid 60's probably. It had a tank because of the tab, so that's why no headbadge. Classic Murray is cantilever with one top bar. Yours with 2 top bars is rarer. There's a way to check it by the Sears catalog and the numbers on the dropout to an approximate year, but I'm not exactly sure how that works.

Great bike for whatever you do with it. Here's a 63 Flightliner for reference, same white trim on forks:

Your hub needs fresh grease from time to time, If it's not loose, binding or in some way malfunctioning you can pack it without wrenching it apart. A better question would be "Why don't all shoe type coaster hubs have grease fittings?".

Good question, there's another upgrade for me.

Thanks for all the info ! It'll hang right where it is for another year or two, but I think it's a keeper. Thank You all ! PJB
