Only if it ran!!!

My parents bought a new Fastback in Anchorage in 1966. They drove it from Anchorage to Missouri in 1967, down the AlCan highway, which at that time was still mostly unpaved (something over 2000 miles).

In the winter.

Apparently, it ran without being shut off for something like 4-5 days straight (including overnight at motels), because it would have cooled off too much to restart in the morning (aircooled engine and '60s motor oil).

They had traded in a 1959 VW Deluxe convertible; at that time the convertible Bugs were more popular in AK than the sedans. Karmann Coachbuilders made the convertible bodies, and the top included a nicely insulated headliner, whereas the sedan merely had a thin piece of cardboard; therefore the convertibles were warmer.
