picked this up a while back ...not sure if ita tornado or just a guard off a tornado ...7e62114 is the number off the dropout here is a few pics ...any help would b great

a tornado is a straight bar and u have a straight bar the chainring is not right
Manufacture date of October 29, 1957, going by that serial number. If they just replaced the sprocket and not the cranks, it may have a 2 digit date stamped on it. The Tornado isn't listed in the 57 catalog price list, but is in the 58, maybe it was made in 57 for the 58 model year.

I believe the Tornado was introduced for the '57 Christmas season. And the early ones had a single second bar as opposed to the twin bars on later versions. -Adam
