found this Columbia 12 speed atb at a local thrift store for 25 bucks.
anyone know the approx. years these were built? it appears to be made in the usa. approx. value?
don't know if I should keep it or flip it. any info would be helpful
thx,
allen

good bike if you need a mtb. don't know for sure about value, but doesn't look like a high-end bike based on lower-end components (1 pc crank, plastic pedals, etc.) does look like a decent lugged frame though...

thx rider. I looked all over the internet and found a little more info.
the sticker on the front was used 89-90 according to mr Columbia.
only found 1 for sale and they wanted a crazy 799 for it in worse shape.
again, any info would be welcome

cool bike. the components don't look that cheap. are those alloy wheels?
it's a cool piece of mtb history, even if it is a Columbia. I'd tune it up if I were you, I'd be a cool rider

not alloy wheels..wald front, unknown on the back. cleaning up nicely. very solid but light bike. Im really liking the aluminum stem, never seen one like it. ill post better pics when im done.

edit, SOME of the components are not high end. that (slingshot) stem IS cool. i've got one I'm waiting to put on a build... agree w/ kb - clean, lube, ride
