Such a nice toy, must be so fun to ride...
A lot smaller than a jeep, take it to the beach for a ride it wont be to much trouble to clean

Gdcast its fun. Kinda heavy to be picking up and carrying someplace.
Every time I go to the beach it takes an hour to clean the sand out of
my shoes, much less a vehicle. Must not have a bunch of sand around
Uruguay.

Hehe I just happen to know exactly what you mean, I take my jeep from José Ignacio to La Paloma every year, 40Km ride on the beach. We have over 600 km of beaches down here, I have sand of each one in my shoes :arghh:
First trip on the sand back in 97':

This year we'll do it on two jeeps, the one above and my "new" baby, it will be easier to get across the two lagoons there are in the middle...

Ok now that sounds like fun. I bought one and put that rubber mat
in the entire floorboard and had to have it really clean to install it. I
wound up vacuuming sand out of the inside of the heater, once I saw
how much was in it. This was the one I had.

Beautiful Jeep, gorgeous wheels.
The good thing about the flat fender "old" Willy's is they're a lot easier to clean up ;) and lighter to pull up when they get stucked... :showingbiceps:
This is my "new" one:

SORRY FOR HIJACKING YOUR THREAD!! Now please post more pics about that great scoot!!

Your welcome to post anything here. You know me, its about something
to look at, not necessarily about what I'm doing. My builds are mostly
silly stuff anyway.

Your jeep looks good. They always look so light ,like you could pick
the front up with your hands.

Thanks Uncle!
All our builds are silly, if they get serious it wouldn't be fun, at least not for me anyway.
But other than silly, your builds are inspiring, and I know it is the same for all of us who cant' wait to see another one of your builds, and we are a bunch so thanks for the inspiration too!

Regarding Jeeps, especially early ones, I think that the simplicity of them is what makes them great. Light, tough, uncomplicated and basic. You can put them wherever you like, and take them out as easy (as your build). Four strong guys and you can lift the rear, flip it on a side or push it out of the sand.

Thanks you have been watching for a lot of years. LOL
They had these 4 army guys on tv once.
They took a jeep apart, walked 10 feet and put it back together.
I think they did it in 30 minutes or so. It was quick however long
it was. Fun to watch.

Got my seat cover today. The guy that builds my wife's purses
made it for me. He did pretty good since he does crocodile purses
and not upholstery. I put it on the foam and it still needs a little
more adjusting. Still not bad. Love the smell of new leather.

Deorman you can buy about the same thing I built a lot cheaper.
Called a Baja Warrior. I see them used for $300 around here.

Glad yall like my project. In reality I could have spent more money and
built something really nice. This is just something to keep my mind
off of life problems for the moment. I have tried to build the best scooter
I could as cheap as I could. Its been fun to play with, and seems to do
pretty good. Might look pretty cool in the end. Enjoy

The seat is looking good!
What paint plans do you have for the frame?

I was going to paint it black, because the motor was all black
but after listening to my wife, I think the same dark red as the
wheels. Maybe some black stripes on the frame as accents.

I like the raw finish right now.... Since I have seen you paint a frame more than once, Clearcoat it right now.

Clancy that schedule 40 pipe has so much of that black coating
on it , would take and act of congress to get it all off. Would require
lots of sanding and would be easier to prime it a couple coats and
then spray a couple of the red. I'm getting lazy in my old age. Kinda
like water and take the path of least resistance.
