Sweet work, i have been thinking about trying my hand at this. Are you using camel hair brushes?

Lots of practise, I've been at it for about 10 years off and on and 5 really intensely now.Watch as many videos as you can on You Tube and find a panel jam to attend.

Brushes are actually Russian squirrel hair, camel would be way too coarse.. The brushes I prefer are made by Xcalibur, the second favorites are the old traditional Mack

blue string ferrule series 10 stripers. ˆ always use One Shot pinstriping and lettering enamel too, I'm sort of a traditionalist in that respect. Here's a link to my portfolio if you're interested.

Will do, thanks for all the onfo. How would i go about finding a panel jam?

I see Jamie Hearn is from Arlington, works at a GM assembly plant there? His e-mail is [email protected] Drop him a line, he'll surely
know some local guys to hang with and learn from. I have faithfully every winter season opened my studio doors every Tuesday night for our
local guys to get together for a practise night, every week you can see improvement from everyone who keeps returning. This is the best way to
learn without learning something yourself and learning it incorrectly... I remember when I first started, some of my techniques were terrible, I
went to a gathering and immediately started doing things differently, after the first show I attended, my whole way of doing things changed drastically and for the better.

Jimmy Crawford from Garland Texas is a really awesome guy too, he can lead you to the paint...

Very impressive work Chris 8) . I've always fancied a go at pinstriping but not sure my hand would be steady enough? How easy is it to go "off track" so to speak?

Will
Will,

You don't need a steady hand at all,we're not asking you to hover over the work, you're allowed to rest a wrist or elbow down on the work so long as you keep it out of the wet parts,ha,ha.. Buy a couple brushes, some paint, and watch youtube for a while ,type in pinstriper or pinstriping and watch videos for months on end without seeing the same one twice...
