I bought this early-to-mid '60s Sears Spyder frame off Fleabay exactly as you see it here. it looked like it would make a good project:
Then I bought this sad little Columbia at Goodwill, just begging to be relieved of its usable parts:
Frankensteined them together, added new tires, and this is what I have now:
You may have noticed the Shimano 333 Grip Shifter. The frame came with that and the brakes. I have been looking for a Shimano 3-speed hub to go with it, and I finally found one on a 26-inch Mohawk that had severely bent forks (yard sale, $3). Now I need a 36-hole 20-inch rim and a bike shop that'll lace them together for me...
