hey all im trying to figure out what this Schwinn started out as on the badge i get 1975 the back dropout comes out Y8572945 this bike has been pieced together,i found it in the scrape yard,i know it was a 5 speed but has the old 3 speed rear with racer parts,any help would be gratefull

The serial number is not a match for the badge date or a manufacturer.
The closest serial number type is for a Schwinn Cruiser made by Giant. For this to work the first digit in the serial number would need to be a "6" not "8" and the badge year would need to be a "6" not "5".
