schwinn road bike question

along with my hutch i recently aquired this schwinn, i dont know any thing about it. so i have a few questions

i found a serial number under the badge its KQ507495
i think the top tube says continental
it seems to be a little bigger than a 26" i might be wrong though
what year is it?
are these worth anything
this one needs tires,tubes,cables,grips and the chain and sprokets need some attention
if anyone has any information i will greatly appreciate it

thats the tall framed lightweight actually not too light lol
not alot of value because they arent really light and thats made for somebody 6'3 and taller
now that being said....... they make sweet customs!
take the gears off spread the frame a hair to fit bigger ballooner tires and you get this my favorite ride

like hooch stated its not worth too much espesialy in its present condition I can tell you it was made oct. '79
I might be interested in some of the parts if the price is right

Those are steel 27" rims, the bike probably isn't worth that much, but can make a nice bike if it's your size.
