Just scored these two bikes today! 1953 schwinn racer, and a 1955 Tandem project! super excited. and you cant beat $25 for the pair!!!!!!!!

Nice bikes, but I don't think the Schwinn Racer was introduced until 1955 or 56.

The serial number on the racer is j251933

6 numerals, makes it a 9/24/1962 bike. Still a good find.
