Hey all, just ordered a set of 24x3" rims for my rat fink and will be running felt thick brick tires. Curious to hear from other riders with fat rims as to what the ride is like? On my stock rims the tires ballon and the ride really smooth. Once I go to a wider rim and the tire is stretched I was wondering what to expect.

Would love to hear from anyone who runs or has ridden this setup?

Will post pics once the rims have been painted and I have the wheels built up with an 8 speed hub :D

The fatter you go the larger the contact surface area with the ground increases, so you may feel the bike a bit sluggish. That is caused by additional friction.

Are you speaking from first hand experience?

I agree with the logic, really for looking for people who have rode this setup before.

Cheers!
