I got this of of Craigslist the other day for $10 (you can't even buy a movie pass around here for that). The serial number is e25562, so it looks like it was made 9/9/48. It actually rides around pretty nice. I added the seat because it didn't have one. The wheels aren't original, the front is a 24", and the back has a bendix hub with a rigida rim. There is still some of the navy blue paint here and there and you can just make out the 'Schwinn New World' decal on the top of the down tube. I really like the handlebars and might have to look for set with nicer chrome for another project I'm working on.
