I just posted ads on Craigslist looking for people interested in starting a Classic/RatRodBike Club here in the Iowa/Illinois Quad Cities . I posted the Ads in the For Sale section,Bicycles and Antiques. If you know anyone that lives in this surrounding Area that would be interested in this, please give them a heads up/ I've got one response so far and need some good people to get this rolling (Pun Intended).

You're at the top of my list. I posted Ads on five sections as shown on my original post.Hope that will reach more eyeballs than the first two. The Robins(Birds) are back in Iowa and their songs are driving me crazy for Springtime. :mrgreen:

OK, I have to BUMP this, I'm looking for some input from you guys that participate in Bike Clubs. Actually, anyone that has thoughts about bringing more attention to this idea I have about starting a club.I have some more ideas, but really want to reach out to you guys for help.

I'd suggest going ahead and creating some kind of event and promote it. Maybe just a simple ride or show. You might be surprised at how many show up. Let the club evolve from that.

Our club http://coastersbicycleclub.com evolved from just a couple guys who started doing a "pub crawl" on old bikes. That was many years ago.

I have two rat rod bikes, let me know if you set up any events in the Quad Cities. I have a 1960's west point and a 70's German Westfalia turned into a chopper.
