Picked these up for $5 for three bikes.
The first has a Western Flyer Badge , Straight bottom bar , read drop stand , skiptooth , rear facing dropouts and a second kickstand???? Original paint drop center rims , a battery tube or can , hockey stick style seatpost , the rear rack looks very much like a schwinn , but slightly differant. What is it???

Second bike , Not as nice or as old. Has a rack on the back that is very heavy made , seatpost is an expanding type. No headbadge. What is it???? Long wheelbase.

The first one looks like a Shelby frame and the rear rack is an aftermarket WALD.
Nice score for $5  I would be interested in the battery tube if you don't have a use for it.

Yes, first bike is Shelby built, 39ish I believe. 2nd may be AMF, 58 or later w/that canti frame. Total steal! What was the third bike? -Adam

Yeah, the 2nd looks like my AMF bike, same style frame, same type of seat stem.

The first bike was obviously someone's pride and joy. Nice find.

Great score...What puzzles me is how one determines a bike is worth a little over dollar fifty..

The third bike is a late 50`s Ladies Huffy cruiser , Kind of nasty.

Nice find, I'm Hoping you'll bring the western flyer to the club meeting so we can look it over.

$5 !!!??? NICE :D And i thought i got a great deal! I picked up a 1916 hartford for $120 then sold the rims (not correct rims) for $70.

great finds! that 2nd one is definatly an AMF 58-61, with the wrong chainguard, but i think they will both clean up great. i have an AMF 59-60 myself that i rescued from a hot mess and made into one sweet road machine. i love the wy the lwb amf rides. (lwb=long wheelbase, btw)
