Pre-war Collegiate???

I just came into a frame badged as a Collegiate. I was told by a LBS that it's a 40-41 Elgin. I don't know anything about the bike so any info is greatly appreciated. I'd also love to know/see what this thing would have looked like outta the factory if anyone has anything.

Definitely an Elgin and the age looks about right. One of my favorite frames.

Collegiate was a junior model to the Elgins, and I think they were only made around 40-1. Yours is a Murray built frame, some were made by Westfield also. -Adam
