Powdercoating, Powdercoaters

Can alloys (stems, handlebars) be powder coated? I'm looking for a powder coater with bicycle experience-any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome Garath, it's been my experience that you can powdercoat aluminum. The only problem I heard of is a thing that they call " outgas".
I don't think it is very common though.

I'm just guessing, but my 2003 Cannondale is an aluminum frame, which I always assumed was powdercoated. The paint has been very durable and still looks brand new. I use a silicone polish from Finish Line after each bath. I'd call custom motorcycle shops in your area and ask for referals. I'm certain they would be willing to help.

+1 what PastorRat said...check with motorcycle/custom motorcycle shops. If they deal with a powder-coater, that company can do motorcycle parts, they can do bicycle parts.
