I got this bike yesterday at a military vehicle show and swap meet. I gave $150, not sure what it is worth at this point, but I know it's got to be worth more than what I paid. It really looks to be a survivor, albeit a little rough. Original paint and chrome, the Persons seat is still solid, pedals are nice. It is missing the grips, fender light, drop stand, and horn unit. Everything else is very solid, tires appear to be like new Carlisle Lightning Darts. It is badged as a Merion, I can't say I know anything about this brand of bikes. I could use a bit of an education on these.

It is fairly dirty and needs a good wash. After it is clean I can take more pictures. I don't really plan to do much beyond a good cleaning and some light rust removal from the chrome bits.

I would like to get the missing parts to complete it. Can anyone provide some photos of the correct parts I should be looking for?

A good buy at thrice the price! Great find.

Wow that bike is amazing!!!! You got a great deal. I've seen these sell for $1200-$1500. Is the tank original? I thought they used hanging tanks but I'm not certain. Regardless it's an amazing bike. What's the serial # to narrow down the year? I have an original paint 39 westfield motobike and it has a delta light on the fender. So you might wanna shop around for one.

WOW, Steal! Tank alone is worth what you paid for the whole thing. Clean it up & ride it!

Everything looks to be original. I will get a bunch of better pictures posted tomorrow. The pictures in my first post were taken with my phone right when I got home from the show that I found the bike at. I'll be sure to get the serial number too.

I'm looking forward to getting this thing looking good and complete again. I'm not sure how tough it will be to get the missing parts. I know there are repros readily available, but I'm definitely much more interested in original parts. Either way I'm thrilled with my first prewar bike. :D

luckily you have a nearly complete original prewar. Besides a delta front loader light and a drop stand you're set. And those two missing parts are readily available on the innerweb.
