Looks like I'm in on this one.

Picked up this Heavy Duti F/F set from member @Jsparks this evening. Anybody guess where he got it? [emoji39]

No master plan other than trying to keep it CHEAP!!!!

I may have to change the name of this build...what was I thinking?

Anyway, got the frame cleaned up today and installed a few parts...

I got a back wheel that I liked along with the deal and I ordered a matching front wheel off of Amazon for $45 shipped.

Now, I know I want to run these Al's Rapid Transit KOS bars that I have, but I've run into a problem with the fork. It's a got a giant 1" steer tube so none of my stems work. Will probably have to order a quil stem adapter and run a threadless BMX stem...there goes the budget.

Here's what it looks like so far...stem is just resting in the giant steer tube for show...

I polished out the frame and the paint is just too nice to mess up. I had about reprinting it, but I think I can live with the original design.

Used some Testors that I had to touch up the chips and scratches.

Going to be cool! That 1 1/8th threaded thing is annoying, got a couple of frames floating around here with it too...

I have found that with some stems if you cut off the forward facing bit and just leave the upright portion, that tube is flared above the clamp area to 1 1/8th, so you could clamp a threadless stem directly to it.

Luke.

Edit: Looks like your current stem is 1" straight with no flare, so just ignore that!

buy yourself a radder fork? you can run a 1" threaded with adaptors, or get a proper 1.125" threadless...
