So, to make a long story short, I work in a custom machine shop (I am a product designer by training) and had the idea to make some little machined hot rods. My boss thought it was a cool idea, so we made a bunch. Then, nothing. We couldn't sell any and I felt like my boss thought it was a bad idea. Then... I sent an email to Make Magazine because I saw a post that made me think of my cool little cars and...

THEY POSTED IT ON THEIR BLOG!!!

I am super exited about it. We already sold a couple, so the boss is happy. So, that's all, just exited and wanted to brag (a little)

I think you'll be surprised by how long lasting the traffic from the Make:Blog is, I had a little howto posted on their blog in 06 and it still regularly gets traffic.
