Recently picked up a similar bike. Badged Santa Fe. After searching, found it to be a 1934 Colson built bike. This was based on the serial number. The short head tube is one clue. Found Elgin and Schwinn badged bikes of the same era with similar short head tubes. Not sure of the manufacturer but would guess it to be a little earlier than 1940. David

Thank you for your input. Can you do a photo of your bikes so I could compare them thanks

I have not set up picture acct. Am getting up there, 57, and computers are fairly new to me. I do notice your frame doesn't have ears on the rear drop outs for a stand like mine. I searched the gallery on here for several hours and did find a couple, a 34 and 35 Colson Flyers. the Schwins and Elgin badged bikes also from the mid 20's to early 30's had the short head tubes on the Motobike frames.

I'm. 33 and I don't. Know a lick about computers if it wasn't. For my phone I wouldn't. Know a thing about technology... I seen. Some photos on line to and it throws on a loop cause the drop outs and the head tube too I wouldn't be surprised if it was a moto bike thanks for the help again
