This is a 1978 Honda XL175. My dad got this for me 18 years ago when I was 14. It has 1750 miles then and today is just shy of 4000. After a couple years, I started moving up to bigger bikes and my mom rode it a little bit, but has mostly been sitting unused for the last 15 years. I just brought it home to a cleaner environment, though my dad was keeping it clean and running it every so often. This is a first kick starter.

Lot of great memories on this bike. Later, I'll post a neat photo...just have to wait to see

This photo was taken in 1997 when I was 15 at the summit of 12,800 ft. Engineer Pass in the San Juan Mountains between Ouray and Lake City, CO. Needless to say, there wasn't a lot of power at elevation. I think this bike makes all of 9 hp at sea level, so probably 5-6 hp up here.

I had one of those 4 strokers.. you are right about a one kick starting bike. It was the most reliable bike I ever had. I loved trail riding with it. Just putt putt along.
