Hello all.
I'm a 37 year old car mechanic from Germany.
Always interested in pimping, tuning, but the ratty way.
Over the last three years or so, my interests changed more and more to cars without an engine.
Formerly interested in the velomobile-scene, what means recumbents, new, fast fully faired for minimal air resistance, glossy, shiny and EXPENSIVE.
But I missed the fun and crazyness there, too much technical issues, not enough fun.
I have a soft spot for crazy looks, senseless gimmicks, retro style and so on.
My recent main project is building a four wheeled sociable tandem in the 1930s look, I dubbed it the "Retroadster"
Here is a model made of cardboard:
One of my most important influences is the "Mochet Velocar".
Some progress in the last two years, the tandem is driveable now, but still without the retro-body.
I decided to build a new frame from plywood, just to try out, if it's lighter than steel(Yes it is!!!).

All mechanical parts like the double wishbones for the front axle, swing arms for the rear, drive trains and seats still waiting for assembling/completion.
And then, finally, the shell from airplane plywood.
More on this in my blog and next time surely an own thread here.
