Hi,
I will work toward posting better pics, but for now please click on the j-pegs if there is interest.
First up is the Bent trike with the front of a Viking road bike. The trike part came from a Schwinn Miridian.
Next is the same kinda thing but using the front of the old Mongoose I've had around for 35 or so years as a "fun bike".

Here is the inspiration for "Threeforks" as on the bent Viking.
That seat back adjusts for angle.
The base of the back was formed from three plys of 1/4 junk plywood clamped to the
fork with Elmers and then cut to size.
I've done some upholstery work before, so just glued on some foam,
and sewed up a cover.

As you might see in the last pic, these trikes are outstanding in their feild.

Might as well post this here too.
A new build using a discarded free '08 Intense Pro XL race frame, and salvaged used parts and
components.
Took about 9 hours, this morning. Started a 3 AM. Sometimes sleep is hard to find.

A fun bike to ride. A tad too small for me, but not by much. Need a new seat post, as this one
has been cut down.
Note: The bottom bracket has right hand threads on both sides, no left hand threads.
Never seen that before.

Maybe not madness. Maybe a good marketing ploy.
If you can't use the standard BB parts, then you'll buy from them.

Didn't take very long to figure out. There were bearings on one side, and the empty
bearing holder on the other.
Thought it odd when they both came out as right handed, but didn't really understand
until i tried to thread in a sealed BB.

The one bearing cup almost fit over the sealed unit, only not at the lip there to stop the sealed bearings from moving.
Just rat-tail filed that out and used it to support the other side of the BB.

Still think it odd.

Whatever or however it got that way, it must have been intentional.
The threads were too clean, not stripped, and the BB unit would thread in either side.

The idea of it does not fit with my thinking.
i mean, it did happen, and the BB is installed and working, but I don't have any
place in my head to put that info.

Another side note:
The idea of extending the steer tube may look odd, and seem weak, but I have done lots of those
without any trouble.
NOT intended for racing, or jumping, just cruising and casual riding.

The threadless type headsets are the easy ones to do.
Often a threaded steertube just fits into the threadless, making for a great sleeve.
Just need the top 4" or so from a matching donor fork to extend, a good sleeve,
and a welder.
Also drill 4 holes in each part before inserting the sleeve to allow for plug welding
in addition to the but weld.
Then clean up with a flapsander.

If some one wants to reverse the extension, the steer tube can be cut off where it was,
and using a new or recycled starfangled nut, put things back like they were.
