the fenders curve perfectly with 26 inch tires and the chain guard started in 35 with silver-kings and such. pretty sure its the very early version of the first 26 inch for wards.

I had thought that it may have been a 28" that was switched to later 26" (30's-40's) because of the extreme fender clearance. Thanks for your input.

The rims are vintage 26'' but not original for that Hawthorne. Also note that on the front
by the head badge is the bracket to hold the front rods. I bought an early Columbia
with the same pattern. Meaning that the previous owner had installed 26 " rims . I'm not
sure if the original tires & rims were the 28 ". The handle bars were the straight cross-
brace type. It is a nice bike. Hope you find the parts! Here's another view but I believe
you know where this came from !

Front rods by the head tube badge area down to the sprocket. No springs.
With cross-braced straight handlebars. No chain guard. The Deluxe would have a tank.

On your Hawthorne, the Delta light on rear fender is add-on from later years.
Rear kickstand would hook-up to the rear fender. Rack is missing.
