Thought you guys might like to see progress pictures of my little sporty project. She was a bone stock 1999 XL1200 I bought as a wreck.... I think she is coming along nicely. The headlight was a random find, The oil bag is made from the cylinder liner of a Stratton Aero helicopter motor. The fame was streched, neck dropped, raked to 40 deg and hardtailed all in my shop over the course of two days.. bars are custom with internal throttle, Hand controls are off a 72 Yamaha XS-2 Air cleaner is a oil sump off a old Yamaha something.... Pipes are scratch built.. the end cap is part of a airplane aileron actuator Tank is scratch built... I'll post more pics as we get it finished up..

Still trying to name her... Any ideas?

at this point I think we are going to nickel plate the sheet metal and scotchbright the aluminum... get rid of any chrome.. leave the bars rusty...

Maybe flat black the frame, rims, nickel plate the hubs....
