Where your bent springer fork meets the bottom of the head tube, do you have a ball bearing set? I have a bent springer on my Electra frame and the fork was not designed to work with the ball bearing head tubes. My Schwinn head tube is the same design. It still works, but the steering is not as smooth (in addition to the crazy unstability with a bent fork).
