Mag dyeing/restoration ???

I picked this bike up over the weekend. It has neon yellow Z mags on it. The front is very vibrant; but the rear is pretty badly sun faded. Is there a way to bring it back to "life" as I know the odds of finding this rim in this color will be pretty slim.

The RC boys back in the day used to use RIT Fabric Dye to color thier plastic parts.

I never tried it but it looked good to me.
