The fork has arrived!
I had to widen it quite a lot so my wide tire would fit.

But now I've got another problem to solve.

There's a bit of the spring that pushes against the tire[emoji36] [emoji36] [emoji36] [emoji36]
Will have to make struts longer!!!

If you take a little of the bend out of the fork legs will that help the clearance, Clarence?

It would help if the wheel would touch the spaace between fork legs.. but it touches the piece of spring thats in front of the main fork.

Managed to enlarge the struts.

Now I can actually use front dropouts from my monark imitation fork and put a disk brake on the front wheel

Basically it's the last stand on brazing and cutting. Have got a support for kickstand and some more things.
Now the bicycle looks like this.

Thinking about sandblasting and clear coat it.

Finally I've decided not to sandblast but to clean it with an oven cleaner and some stainless steel wool. And the result is pretty shiny [emoji41][emoji41][emoji41][emoji41]
So no clear coat for now, I'll let the metal age, so Id get a nice difference between stainless steel lugs and the tubing steel. But it will take time.

The only thing left is to pass gear and brakes cables.
And get a kickstand.... The one I wanted to use touches the rear wheel.

I like your brake hanger...
Check out this one I did on Dead Metal.

Guitarl.

Took it for a test ride today. It did not brake, rolls fine and fast.

Need to change the stem though, it has to be shorter and with positive angle so riding posture would be more relaxed. (My arms are short) [emoji36] [emoji36] [emoji36] [emoji2]

So it's nearly finished. Just need some lights.

That's funny, I was going to suggest a double-legged Pletscher stand for this build....and then for once I held off till the end of your posts and viola' ! There it was!

You have put together a winner here. Great design that was executed to a 'T' and it rides like a dream I'm sure. :41:

The balance (eye appeal) to this build is about as close to perfect as I have seen. Well done!

Got lights installed!
It took quite a lot of time to pass all cables inside the frame and solder the connectors.
The rear lights are cheap ones I've won in a ruffle. I've modified them, put 1W red LEDs into each.
The front one I had for a while, it's also led but somewhat fancier, it has got a stand light, so it will light while the dynamo is not turning.
Need to make a night ride video to show you how well it lights.
