Hello all…
It’s been a cold winter here in Missouri…
I try to get out and play when it’s above 50 deg…
Oh… How I long for warm summer days…
We’ve had a few warm days here…
And I try to make the most of them…
I’ve managed to get most of this old
Cleveland Welding together and functioning…
In my Fresh Finds post I talked about using the chopper forks…
Well I did it… And with no damage to the frame or tank…
I cut off a 7 inch long 1 inch fork tube and silver soldered
It in place of the 1 1/8 inch fork tube…
Worked out well…
Tapped the fork tube lock nut down in the new tube…
Then assembled the threaded bearing cups and cones…
I used a modified lock nut to hold it all together…
Then assembled the top plate…
Rewired the tank…
Added a head light and a tail light…
Also added a horn button and a buzzer from Radio Shack…
Oh yea… Almost forgot…
This old cotton filled seat needed a new cover…
I finally did what I’ve wanted to do for a long time…
I used a new shop towel…
I’m really liking the look…
