Congrats! That is one sweet bike. I really like the stars and dart on the fork! Higgins really loved the black and red. I like a few of their paint schemes even more than the Phantoms they were emulating.

Yours looks looks like a Murray built bike, judging by the lug at the top of the set post. Here is a picture of my late 40's Columbia built Higgins. Pretty similar, in many respects.

Lookin' pretty snazzy! I dig the white rim/tire combo. I have been temped to do likewise on one of my bikes. Now to find a set of solid white Carlisle Lightening Darts.
