That thread on the Cabe was originally "educated guesses" on the earlier numbers. A year or so ago, ABC Services reprinted a 1959 Western Auto parts catalog, with serial codes for Murray, among others. "MO-N" is 1949, for a WF, Sears bikes have an S in there. So, "MOS-N" is also '49. Murray used skip tooth chain through 1955, and there are probably a couple later ones using up old stock. -Adam
