Dan Koenig at Ichi Bike in Des Moines, Iowa sent me pics of his latest creation....a Felt based E-bike with a bit of a steam punk flare to it.

Dan said...

"The cyclometer is hidden in an old Prince Albert can. It's got hydraulic disc brakes andcork grips. Keep in mind this is still only a mock up, but it rides killer. It needs to be disassembleed and have several braze on cable mounts to relieve the bike of all plastic zip ties. They work great but are not steam punk."

Very slick! It's a shame they don't make stem punk tie wraps though.

Plaid was and will never be "steam punk." Not is it "diesel punk!"
While it is very cool, confused is a better designation for this build! :)
Steam would have to power something!
Black(not shiny), Brown's, copper, brass, steel, and some greens, but never ever red.
Steam punk is what happened when the Goths found Brown's! :)

The bike isn't finished....read his quote in the first post.
