Re: I shall call him wilfrid the klunker (beta test #2)

THE TESTING SITE

Wilfrid in staging

Me in staging

first ride

slide test action shots

another test

spectator did not seam impressed

So conclusions of the test ride: crank arms need to be shorter, seat clamp needs to be better, seat needs to be softer and some final adjusting to gears and brakes. then pull him apart finish the finish, then headlight, remount portage strap, and on to the trailer!!!

Re: I shall call him wilfrid the klunker (beta test #2)

ok had to ride him one more time to make sure he worked before i take him apart to finish the varnish lights etc. thought I would take him to Smith Rock for a little ride!

so there is the short story of his shake down ride, and since he carried me down, I carried him back up :!: (need to correct the portage strap!) I like the brooks better then the other seats so will keep it. well should get to work on getting him done! got a trailer to build :D

There are few things I like more than seeing a build off bike actually getting used!

Pretty cool...love the action shots. I mean, what would you do with a build-off bike if you didn't ride it? And I agree with everyone else, that finish is really nice.
the overall finish stays need to varnish some straps and other parts and areas that have not been done yet. thinkin of leaving the forks the same color also! Have to redo the portage strap and finish up some of the jute straps etc.

And you call me a tree-hugger????? So I will not be running my beta runs at Smith Rock....I am thinking Grey Butte and Skeleton Hollow?

Are we still on for an overnight-er?
