Huffy Laredo

So my girlfriends father saved me a trip to their cottage and brought me back this today.

I have the serial # but I can't figure out the year based on what I read through the Huffy Serial Number link in the forum. The number is 081303 K0193...
The bike is in great shape. A little rust here and there. The front hub may be toast. But as you can see it looks great. Even the tires hold air! Coaster brake works, seat is in good shape. All in all just a polish and shine grease here and there and a better look at the front hub I have a sweet bike.

So if anyone could fill me in on the year I'd appreciate it.

The stem looks bent in the photo. If so, don't use it, they're inherently weak in the first place, especially with apehanger leverage.

Try as I might I cannot figure out the year on this bike... even using the link provided with this site. Can anyone else figure it out?

Hopefully I'll have time tomorrow to get to cleaning this bike up and seeing how good or bad it really is.

I don't remember how the dating scheme works, but that is a textbook example of mid-1970's Huffy.

Hey thanks! I'm surprised that this bike even looks like it does. I was told that this bike on many occasions was ridden into the lake. It was then left outside for many years beside the shed. So that just goes to show you how Huffy makes a bike!

Looks great! I actually looked yours up after someone said you had chopped one up recently. I won't be chopping mine. I don't really know yet what I want to do with it...

I'd say clean it up first and see how you like it as it is or sell it, but I like Hooch's bike too.
