I'm planning on getting an old "ooga" car horn and thn putting it on my bike but don't know how to go about hooking it up and powering it. Maybe the same way people hook up those larger headlights? Little to none experience with electrical, so would really appreciate the help thanks!

i think this is a cool idea, but im not sure how to do it either.maybe a 12volt cordless drill battery? somebody here will tell you how, im sure.

I attempted this once with a cordless drill battery, some wiring, and a simple switch. The horn is a modern version from the auto store. It worked great and the horn was crazy loud. I wanted a more authentic ooga sound in the end so I left it off the bike. It's a simple setup if you have the room to install both the battery and horn. I had mine on a stretched cruiser. Good luck and have fun startling people with it haha

Positive battery goes to the switch.

Switch output goes to the horn.

Ground the horn housing back to the battery.

It is common place to hide 12V batteries inside of water bottles.
