Well,I have posted before about The 1949 Cleveland Welding
Springers I bought from "YESHONEY"

I decided to Antique them today so they matched the
Rusty/Old Patina that The Head tube has on The Rollfast.

I started with The Red Oxide Primered Forks I bought from
YESHONEY

I primed them with a 100% Acrylic..WHITE

I then took some of my daughter Water Colored Paints and
mixed some Yellow and Red and brushed it out.

I then mixed some Brown and Red and slopped it on

I then Fogged it all out with some Red Oxide Primer( spray can )

I then used some very coarse steel whool and scratched it
off in the usuall Wearing spots.

I then went over it all with some Orange to give it
a Rusty look...

I will clear coat it all later( with Amber Shelac )
to keep it looking old

You're really sumthin Kev. That's more work and detail than I put into my projects trying to make them look good. :D

thanks,
but it honestly took me about 45 minutes..
you just start out with what the part ( Head Tube ) would
have looked like at new and go from there....if yaa muck up..sand it a bit and go again.easy ..peazy..

Here's a wide angle shot of the whole bike..
and my daughter had a hand in The Photography..
hence, my ugly Mug in the shot

wow nice job. You make it looks much easier than it probably is. If I tried that I would just bumble through it.

I think think this is one of the longest post in this short amount of time.

Hey Kev, this was very inspiring 2 me! Excellent worksmanship!
I really digg those old springers n even more w/ a patina. Thumbs up!
Rat on!
