Nice job on the twin bar conversion! Looks factory! 8)
Some times paint colours dont always show up correctly in photos, so I am just going to ask, is that colour like a buttermilk/creme?
It looks good, should look awesome with some black accents if that is your plan... :D

Luke.

Your right about color not showing in pictures. Its pale matalic gold and accents will be lots of chrome and white. I plan on running a spring fork also. I hope the end result to be something like 60s hot rod meets 20s racing bicycle.

got the crank cleaned up and put back and mocked it up. waiting for goodies on the mail and ordering tires tonight. not sure if i want all white tires or a white wall. aside from that i am pretty set on white grips white seat white peddles and a chrome springer fork.

No progress to report on the bike its self but like I said I am expecting goodies in the mail. one said goody showed up today. because i work a mid-shift every day and i am not a morning person most of my riding will be done after dark. so i thought it wise that this bike should have a light to alert drivers to my presence. so with a 60s t bucket in mine i searched ebay for a horseless carriage style lamp. here is what i came up with.

honestly i thought getting this thing to illuminate was going to be a pain in the rear. but i found a LED at lowes that was dang near made for it!

removing that screw made enough room for the LED to be poped into place

this part of the lamp is easy to remove from the base

all i have to do to turn the light on is slide it off from the base and hit the button on the bottom.

got some white walls today and nearly hit the roof when I learned the hard way 26 inch wheels and 26 inch tires dont always go together!!! go figure.... But I searched CL and found a cheap womens mountain bike i hope i can pick up tonight.

OK, back on track! What would we do without CL and 25 buck womens mountain bikes??!!

Love the twin bar, love the light!

What are you doing for brakes and will it be a single speed?

Thanks! And yes single speed just need to swap the hubs.

If that is the rear wheel off of that mountain bike then you just need a freewheel removal tool (about $5) and you can spin off that multi speed freewheel and spin on a single speed, like on a BMX, no need to swap hubs unless you have/want a coaster hub.
