I've been reading these awesome forums for some time now. I finally decided to jump in and try my hand at this. I've been watching some bikes on ebay and have been disappointed to watch a bike all week and then get picked clean by vultures on ebay and want to try and find a bike to build here (either a 1940s Shelby or a 1940's Hiawatha would be dream bikes...but maybe I should set my sites a little lower).
I'm a special education teacher from Charleston, SC. I'm into all things rusty, tattoos, art, traveling, and live music. I have always been very active but have recently had major hip/back problems. I want to build a bike that would not only be visually interesting but also comfortable. Any suggestions/help/info is always appreciated!
