Help with Rollfast Hopalong Cassidy style Springer Fork

Hi! I recently got the later version Roll fast springer fork (same one found in the Hopalong Cassidy bicycle). Mine was disassembled and i'm not quite sure how to reassemle the main spring portion. According to the Rollfast book, this type of springer fork came with dual springs and some kind of rubber dampener. Mine came with two springs but no rubber of any kind. I need some help on how to assemble this fork..

1) Did i assemble the two springs correctly?

2) Does anything go between the moving fork and the plate of the stationary fork?

3) Where does the screw for the front fender go? There are two threaded holes...


Any help and pics would be appreciated.

I'm gonna guess the Damper goes in there (Similar to a Shelby Shock Ease). You should be able to get Rubber washers at a Hardware Store.

The Damper goes in between , so there is no metal to metal contact upon recoil.
