i picked this one up on a craigslist lot o' parts purchase. it had a colson 3 hole/oval chainguard on it, but after searching pics, i'm thinking it is a war era bike. it looks like the ones used in the service. (roadmaster?) all the other look alike frames have different dropouts, and i had no luck with the serial number. lil help please?!?!

It is a Cleveland Welding built post-war "3-Gill" frame. The serial number equates to late 1948 or early 1949 and the style was offered between 1947 and the end of 1949. These bike were built in fairly large numbers under a variety of brands and badges.
